MALAYSIA SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS (SDG) SUMMIT 2019 – Accelerating Progress on the SDGs: Whole of Nation Approach

Malaysia SDG Summit 2019 is a two-day event held on 6 & 7 of September 2019 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC) and was officiated by Prime Minister Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad, in his speech reflecting Malaysia’s strong commitment to the 2030 Agenda and SDGs at the highest level of the government.

Global Compact Network Malaysia co-organised the summit, engaging with the Minister of Economic Affairs, Dato Seri Azmin Ali, who is also invited as a keynote speaker. In his speech highlighted that digital tech is crucial in achieving Sustainable Development Goals, considering the need for accelerated progress to fulfill the goals by 2030.

GCMY has brought together expert panels such as Chairman of Bank Rakyat; Chairperson of Caring Pharmacy; CEOS of Digi & Sime Darby Property; VP of PETRONAS; and Director of MATRADE for the Business Leaders Forum. Back at our booth, we humbly receive High-Level Government Officials namely the Minister of ForeignAffairs, Dato Saifuddin Abdullah and the Deputy Speaker, Parliament of Malaysia, Datuk Rashid Haron.
